WAKEFIELD exposed Warrington Wolves' soft underbelly on Sunday.
That was the view of head coach Paul Cullen, who slammed his players for sitting back and waiting for someone else to win the game.
Cullen said: "We were out thought, out fought and out played.
"Wakefield were very aggressive in both attack and defence and we found out just how tough Super League is.
"We didn't come to Belle Vue to play in the manner that we did. That was the result of the way Wakefield played.
"They were more physical, more professional and more desperate for the win than we were.
"They were also a little bit rough and tough at times and some of our guys didn't like it."
Graham Appo and Lee Briers were the only two Wolves players who were exempt from Cullen's criticism.
He did not think that they deserved to be on the losing side but in Cullen's words 'two does not go well against 17.'
"There were very few positives to come out of the game," Cullen said.
"Sunday's game was one that we were more than capable of winning but we failed to find the soft spots we found against Wakefield earlier in the season."
