I WOULD like to say I agree with much of Mike Waller's letter in last week's Points of View.

I have been thinking along the same lines for some time, and have written to the club making similar suggestions.

Their reply was that any sponsors will have priority in naming the ground and stands etc. I think we need extra finances to compete but as Mike suggests, we could have the best of both worlds. For example 'The People's Stadium sponsored by whoever it may be'. This way it would not matter if the sponsor changed every few years. My suggestions would be players from every era, e.g. The Jack Fish Stand, Brian Bevan, Parry Gordon, and (Sir) Les Boyd stands, and maybe suites after administrators like Peter Deakin.

As for Bev's statue, I think that the only people who can decide are Brian's daughters. Maybe the gentleman who designed the sculptures at Birchwood could be commissioned to design something suitable for a new era.
