FORMER William Beamont High School student Jamie Byrne, aged 23, of Orford Road, has qualified as an avionics technician in the RAF.
After joining the RAF in January 2002, he has now taken up a post at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, working on the large Tristar aircraft.
