ANOTHER Walking Day spectacular is planned for the communities of Padgate and Woolston on Saturday, June 21, as the final preparations are made for this year's festivities.

The Church of the Ascension will assemble in Millman's Yard by 2.15pm, St Martin's Church in Tidal Lane by 2.15pm, St Peter's in Millman's Yard by 2.15pm, and the Church of the Resurrection walkers should be at their church and ready to leave at 2pm.

St Bridget's will assemble at the school and leave at 1.55pm, Risley Independent Methodists will assemble outside the church and leave at 2pm, St Oswald's at the church and ready to leave for 2.40pm, Christ Church at the school and ready to move into Station Road at 2.30pm prompt, and Padgate Methodist Church will assemble in Bruche Avenue before 2.15pm.

Once the walkers from all the churches have made their way to their starting points, the procession will begin at 2.35pm at Padgate Station Bridge. The route will be along Padgate Lane, with churches joining at Green Lane, Bruche Avenue, Tidal Lane and finally at St Oswald's.

The procession will then turn around at the traffic lights at the junction of Padgate Lane and Orford Road (estimated time, 3.15pm), then return along Padgate Lane to Padgate Station Bridge.

Padgate Methodists and St Oswald's will turn around at Padgate Bridge mini island and return to their own churches along Padgate Lane. It will not be possible to turn around at Station Road bollards, as the Woolston group will be on the bridge.

Christ Church, Risley Independent Methodists, St Bridget's and the Church of the Resurrection will cross the bridge and continue into Station Road. Christ Church will end their walk outside their school, and the other three churches will return to their start points by the same routes they had used earlier.

At Padgate Station Bridge mini island, the churches of St Peter's, St Martin's, and the Ascension will leave the processions and walk to their own churches via Green Lane, Holes Lane, Brickhurst Way and Somerset Way into Hillock Lane.
