Natalie confirms her top status
WARRINGTON Dolphins Long Distance Swimming Club held their annual Budworth Mere Championships at the weekend with members producing some excellent swims.
Natalie Jones demonstrated that she is one of the top junior open water swimmers in the country.
She quickly established an impressive lead and maintained it throughout to win the junior women's two-mile event.
Chris Byrne finished second in the men's three-mile race, ahead of club mate Keith Bosson, who finished first veteran. With Andy Wright's sixth-place finish Warrington retained the team award for another year.
Lesley Feakes won the women's three-mile breaststroke race.
Rugby festival
CROSFIELDS under nines Rugby League team took part in a Festival at Orrell St James at the weekend.
Excellent teamwork from the Crosfields players made it an enjoyable festival as they took on the home team and squads from West Houghton, Hindley and Mayfield.
The try scorers for Soap were Ryan Crowley and Andrew Gilbert, who, along with Ben Dodgin, were awarded Crosfields' players of the festival awards; Jordan Pemberton and Luke Conaway.
All players received special effort awards.
Pool presentation
THE Alliance Club will play host to Harry's Taxis Warrington Pool League's presentation night on June 20.
All prize winners must attend. Tickets are limited and will be available on the door priced £3.

Under 18s train
WOOLSTON Rovers under 18s will be back in training from Tuesday in preparation for the forthcoming Rugby League season.
Their Tuesday and Thursday training sessions will be held at Bennett's Rec and will start at 6.30pm.
New players are welcome to attend.
Building ranks
WOOLSTON Rovers Rugby League Club want to rebuild their junior ranks for the start of the new season.
As a result, they are looking for new players between the ages of six and 16.
