The accident happened just after midnight, on June 6, when the owner of a dark coloured car collided with a pedestrian, close to the Reef Bar, on Friars Gate.
The pedestrian received minor injuries, and although the motorist initially stopped, he subsequently drove off without exchanging details.

Police are seeking information about the collision.
Anyone who can help should contact PC Moira Hay or PC Kevin Sweeny at the Warrington traffic unit on 01244 350000.
