FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze at a fencing firm on Thursday that wrecked a storage building.
The incident happened just before 6pm at J&J Fencing in Bewsey Road.
Andy Graham, who works at the company, said: "We were locking up the gates as normal. I turned around and noticed all the smoke.
"We got the fire extinguishers but the fire was just too big."
Firefighters with six pumps tackled the flames, but the 30-metre steel building, which stored timber, was destroyed.
Mr Graham said the company was waiting to find out what the cost of the damage was going to be.
A spokesman for the fire service said the cause was under investigation but it was possible an electrical fault had sparked the blaze.
