STAFF at the Co-op superstore at the Windmill Centre in Widnes organised a fundraising night partly for St Rocco's Hospice in memory of their colleague Pat Johnson, who worked at the store for 20 years.
Pat died from breast cancer last year and the event was organised to raise funds for St Rocco's Hospice where she was a patient and for Widnes hospice, Halton Haven.
Hundreds turned up for the event at the Blundell Arms in Widnes to celebrate Pat's life and contributed a donation to the charities.
Janice Lavin, one of the event organisers, said: "The whole event has been great. Everything, including the services and the room, was provided free of charge, enabling us to raise even more money."
A total of £1,200 was raised and divided between Halton Haven and St Rocco's.
