NEW Warrington band The Heath seem to be conquering all before them this year with the fledgling rockers scooping two recent competition wins in Warrington.
Despite a short career of just three months, The Heath entered The Battle of the Bands, held at Brannigans, and beat Vyne, Sweet Emotion, Nexus 7 and Ocean 8 to scoop the £500 prize.
And playing at Warrington's new WA1 club, the lads triumphed in the Dawson's Choice contest, at the White Hart, that pitted ten Warrington bands against each other.
The trio consists of former Causeway front man Danny Curwen (lead vocals/guitar), Rik Bridge (bass guitar/backing vocals) and Adam Berry (drums).
During their short career, The Heath have recorded a demo CD, In The Shade, and played live gigs at The White Hart, Friars Court and The Limelight Club.
The Heath play The Barley Mow, Friars Court and Walton Gardens on July 4, 6 and 27 respectively. A slot at the Newton Music Festival on July 18/19 weekend has also been confirmed.
