JUDGES for the Guardian Business Awards have strength in depth when it comes to assessing the attributes and achievements of the 30 contenders.
Given the arduous task of grading and picking out the eventual winners are four leading lights in banking, education, marketing and chartered accountancy.
Julia Dowd is from the Warrington-based Learning and Skills Council and she will be joined by Graham Phillips, of The Marketing Group, Mervyn Stephenson, a regional manager with HSBC and Colin Humphrey from leading accountants Baker Tilly.
Each winner will receive a unique trophy, designed by Priestley College students, publicity in the Warrington Guardian and £200 worth of support from Business Link Cheshire and Warrington and a £150 cheque.
The overall Business of the Year will receive a more expansive support package from Business Link, totalling £500.
