ONCE again students at Priestley College have been dreaming up some ingenious designs for the glittering prizes which will grace the mantelpieces of business award winners.
Students from various art courses at the Loushers Lane college have been hard at work devising statuettes and trophies.
Each will be fashioned in the designer's own unique style and will have been the result of weeks of careful crafting.
Their tutor Alan Evans has praised their efforts and promised that the designs would be thought-provoking and innovative
Award organisers would like to thank the contributions of the following students, who were putting the finishing touches to their creations as the Guardian went to press:
l Laura Horsley, designer of the Training and Development Award
l Sebastian Wakefield, the brains behind the Start-up Business of the Year trophy
l Lee Froggatt, who has crafted the International Business Award
l Sarah Wills, who dreamed up the BNFL Social Responsibility Award prize
l Nick McCue, the artist behind the Business Person of the Year honour
l Lauren Whitby, designer of the Innovation and Research Award
l Daniel Tasker, who has come up with the Retailer of the Year Award design
l Kate Whatmore, the artist responsible for the Business of the Year 2003 prize
And pictured is Joanna Stewart-Parry, the artist chosen to fashion the award for the Guardian's Business Survivor winner.
