A WARRINGTON Euro MP is flying the flag for green electricity - and urging businesses and householders to get on board.
Chris Davies has switched his office and home to a supplier of renewable electricity, and says that he is saving money on the deal.
The Liberal Democrat MEP has signed up to green electricity supplier Unit(e), which sources its renewable energy from a wind farm in Cornwall and from other small wind and hydro generators across the UK.
Mr Davies said that he is looking forward to the day when electricity is generated by wind turbines located off the north west coast.
He said: "Offshore wind is one of the most promising areas of renewable energy for the north west.
"With our shallow seabed and high marine wind speeds, the north west is ideally suited to offshore wind."
