BUZZ Hawkins, writer, producer and voice of the cult radio and television series The Bradshaws is bringing the series to life on stage at the Parr Hall next week.
The Bradshaws are Little Billy, Audrey and Alf, an ordinary family living a normal life in a two-up two- down terraced house somewhere in the north in the time when convenience food was bread and dripping and the money was pounds, shilling and pence.
Since The Bradshaws started on Piccadilly Radio it has won prestigious awards for 'The best use of comedy on radio,' and confidently moved on to bigger and better things with the series being broadcast on several other radio stations and the TV series proving a popular hit in the UK.
But we shouldn't be fooled into thinking The Bradshaws are only a hit here, in faraway places such as Dubai, Australia and Hong Kong, little Billy, Alf and Audrey are making people laugh across the globe.
And if you think you're too young for this production then think again, The Bradshaws has been described as Coronation Street, Andy Capp and The Simpsons all rolled into one, so go and see for yourself!
Buzz Hawkins will have you crying with laughter, his incomparable storytelling and chats with the audience can make the Parr Hall feel like the cosiest living room.
The Bradshaws arrive next Saturday, June, 21, at 7:30pm. Tickets are available from the Parr Hall box office on 442345.
