A 17-YEAR-OLD has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely after being found guilty of sexually assaulting and indecently exposing himself to a girl.

The Wistaston youth contested those charges but pleaded guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon and using threatening and abusive words and behaviour with intent, towards another girl and her father on the same night.

The court heard how the youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had drunk seven cans of strong lager during the course of August 19 after four of his friends had been sent to prison.

At 10pm he bumped into a 17-year-old Crewe girl he knew from school outside Bargain Booze on Wistaston Road and left his friends to walk with her towards Flag Lane.

During the walk, the youth made references to how she had changed and grabbed her right breast.

She pushed him away but he begged her for a kiss and to hold his hand.

When she refused, he put his hand between her legs and groped her.

The terrified girl told him to go away but he then grabbed his crotch and made further lewd comments towards her before dropping his tracksuit bottoms and exposing himself.

The victim said: "I walked away as quickly as I could but he kept saying 'come on', grabbing hold of his crotch saying 'hold this'.

"When he called out to me I turned around and his trousers were undone and he exposed himself."

Later that night at 11.30pm, the youth approached another 17-year-old girl in the same location and made lewd comments towards her even though she was with her father.

When her father questioned him about what he had said, the youth pulled out a screwdriver from his pocket and threatened him.

He was released on conditional bail to reappear at Crewe Magistrates Youth Court for sentencing on December 18.
