A RAIL depot in Warrington will not be closed as part of a new scheme to change the way repair work to trains is carried out
English Scottish Welsh Railways has announced a series of depot closures, including one at nearby Crewe - but the depot next to Warrington Bank Quay station will keep running.
A spokesman for the company said: "We are looking at still having depots where repair work will take place, but a lot of work will now be done in the field by mobile teams and this means that problems can be sorted out a lot quicker.
"The depot at Warrington will not be affected at all."
