HEARTLESS vandals confined youngsters with special needs to the classroom when they launched an attack on two school mini buses.
Staff at Foxwood School in Birchwood arrived for lessons to discover two tyres had been slashed on a specially-adapted vehicle parked nearby. And another front tyre had been similarly damaged on another minibus, provided by the Sunshine Club.
Headteacher Lesley Roberts said the worst-hit bus was designated for pupils who use wheelchairs.
Pupils at the Chatfield Drive school rely on the mini buses to attend swimming classes and educational visits.
The repair bill, totalling £350, had to be met from school funds. The incident is thought to have happened between Friday, November 21 and Monday, November 24.
