I WRITE in reply to T Higginson, Liberal Democrat.
I can't believe a councillor is objecting to the only sports stadium in the borough being completed for the community.
Past generations paid for the ground with a variety of fundraising activities in a time of great poverty.
If Widnes rugby league club had been given a fair price when it was sold to the council there would have been no debt to wave.
Now they have to pay a massive rent to play on what was their own pitch.
By the way, Wigan received £12million when they sold Central Park and built a stadium for 25,000 with four sides completed.
