GO blue to be green is the message from environmentalists keen to make recycling quicker and easier across Halton.
People are being urged to jump on the recycling bandwagon and use Halton Council's distinctive blue bins and bags for their waster paper.
More than 25,000 new blue bins have been delivered to residents and the council has launched a new collection lorry to make recycling even easier for 'green' households.
Cllr Stan Hill welcomed the new addition to the borough's war on waste, saying: "Recycling is environmentally friendly and cuts costs. Separating waste needs to become routine and I would like to thank everyone for doing their part in making Halton a greener borough."
