BROOMFIELDS Primary School pupils showed great endurance qualities to claim overall victory in the Cinnamon Brow Cross Country Championships.
They also won the boys' race while St Wilfrid's CE Primary School won the girls' event.
Sixteen primary schools entered the championships and Woolston CE Primary School's Daniel Jackson posted the quickest time of the day.
He clocked 7mins 23secs while the fastest girl, Broomfields pupil Emma Foster, crossed the finishing line in 8mins 15secs.
Sarah Tilley, Cinnamon Brow Primary School's physical education co-ordinator, said: "The event was a big success. All of the runners seemed to enjoy themselves."
