A TERRIFIED pensioner from Latchford wants to move out of her house after she was punched and spat at outside her home.

Eileen Allendar, aged 67, who lives off Park Avenue, was attacked on her doorstep when she stood up for another senior citizen who was being harassed.

The attack happened on Tuesday, March 30, at 11pm. Cheshire Police believe they know who the offender is and are now trying to trace him.

Mrs Allendar told the Warrington Guardian: "I have been attacked by this scumbag on my own front door. He punched me and spat in my face twice.

"Life is a living hell here. I'm going to have to get out of this house. The police have warned me not to go out."

The pensioner was assaulted when she went to investigate a commotion outside her home.

She saw that the offender, along with a younger man, was 'nose to nose' with an elderly gentleman who lives on her street.

Mrs Allendar intervened to help her neighbour and was punched and spat on by the offender who, she claims, was under the influence of drugs.

She said: "All this is making me ill, I can't sleep. I'm scared and I don't know what I am going to do. If the police don't do something about it they will go and pick on somebody more feeble than me."

This is not the first time that the pensioner has had trouble at her home.

As reported in the Guardian in December last year, her front door was smashed by youths and she had eggs and dog mess thrown at her front window.

She is now hoping Warrington Borough Council will move her to another house.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "We have been trying to give Mrs Allendar as much support as we can.

"She has been having a lot of trouble and we are trying to do something about it.

"We have got an idea who did this and we are trying to trace him but if anyone has anymore information they should come forward and help us track down this man."

Anyone with any information should contact Stockton Heath police on 01244 612635.
