A TEENAGER was left with a fractured cheekbone after a gang of men viciously assaulted him in Woolston Park.
The 18-year-old, from Longbarn, was attacked on Wednesday afternoon as he walked past the bandstand.
He was briefly knocked unconscious after one of the five-men punched him and others kicked and punched him while he lay on the floor.
His mobile phone and disc player were stolen. He was taken to Warrington Hospital with a fractured cheekbone and other facial injuries.
One of the attackers was aged between 16 and 18, had short fair hair, was clean shaven and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and a blue hood.
Another attacker wore a hooded top and a baseball cap with a Nike emblem. A third gang member was chubby and wore a blue stripy jumper.
