SAUNDERS
Mr Roger Saunders, husband of Mrs June Saunders, died of cancer on February 4. He was 58.
Mr Saunders, of Australia Cottage, Australia Lane, Grappenhall, lived in Grappenhall all his life.
He was first employed at Garton Seeds, and was last employed as managing director of British Seed Houses, retiring in February 2003.
Mr Saunders travelled the world extensively, both professionally and with his family, and he particularly loved Padstow and Cornwall in general. He liked socialising with friends, music, gardening, and he loved the company of his family.
He leaves his wife, three daughters, two sons and 10 grandchildren.
A service was held on February 10 at St Benedict's RC Church, followed by interment at Fox Covert. The Rev Father Tony Slingo officiated.
Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeral Services.
