DYKES
Mr John Dykes, husband of Mrs Joyce Dykes, died of acute renal failure on March 7. He was 75.
Mr Dykes, of Oldham Street, Latchford, lived in Warrington all his life.
He was employed at Pierpoint and Bryant as a wheel finisher, and had done two-and-a-half years' national service.
Mr Dykes had played rugby and football, was on the committee at Pierpoint and Bryant's club, was chairman of Richmond's Recreation Club, and ran the Over-60s club at Richmond's. He was a bingo caller and organised day trips for members.
Mr Dykes leaves his wife, a daughter, a granddaughter, a brother and three sisters.
A service was held on March 16 at Christ Church, Latchford, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev S Goode officiated.
Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeral Services.
