Mr William (Bill) Barratt, husband of the late Mrs Julia Barratt, died on February 22, aged 93.
Mr Barratt, of St Peter's Court, St Peter's Way, lived in Warrington all his life.
He was employed as a fitter and turner at Whittles, British Aluminium, Conveyancer Trucks and Longford Wire, and helped out in the family business until he was 90.
As a boy Mr Barratt played football and rugby for Warrington Schoolboys, and on his retirement enjoyed crown green bowls and dominoes, and loved the company of his grandchildren.
He leaves two sons, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A service was held on February 27 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. The Rev Graham Houghton officiated.
Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
