CREDITED as one of the big influential figures in rock and blues, Leslie West arrives in town next Thursday.
Only a select few forge a revolutionary style and sound. The innovative studio and live music of West and his seminal rock band Mountain are in that bracket.
Together with bassist Felix Pappalardi, they created some of the most timeless power blues compositions of the period. From first album Mountain Climbing in '69, Mississippi Queen is a masterpiece. Live at the Limelight from 9.30pm, tickets are £10.
