EVERYONE has been digging the dancing queens all over again during the last few days.

Not that Abba's appeal has ever diminished since taking the music world by storm three decades ago.

Last Tuesday saw the musical Mamma Mia! celebrate its fifth anniversary in London's West End, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Abba's Eurovision Song Contest win with Waterloo.

Songwriters Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson were in attendance along with former bandmate Anni-Frid Lyngstad, delighting the world's media with pictures appearing across the globe.

Agnetha Faltskog wasn't present though, scorching hopes of a first official reunion since they broke up in the early 80s.

Still with the legendary group back in the limelight what better time for top tribute Bootleg Abba to be in it also - they visit the Crewe club on Saturday.

Probably one of the most popular tributes on the circuit today, it's sure to be an atmosphere of Russ Abbot proportions.

Ladies in their element guaranteed, expect a sea of handbags around your ankles together with copious amounts of swirling and dancing going on.

There's nothing like Abba to get a woman going nuts on the dance floor.

Their music must still be the most synonymous with parties, wedding receptions and generally that classic hour in your good old cheesy nightclub.

Meant with no disrespect, it's hard to argue with the term 'super group', due to the sheer amount of classic, catchy hits they reeled out.

From that triumphant Waterloo, the likes of Dancing Queen, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Take A Chance On Me are timeless.

With all the looks and sound of the original four, Bootleg Abba provide one heck of a night.

If you've got the energy, stick around for the 70s disco afterwards.

Appearing live on stage at the Limelight from 9.30pm, tickets are £6.
