BIDDULPH Vics picked up four points from six over the Easter break despite only scoring once.

The Vics beat Westfields 1-0 at home on Saturday, and were held to a 0-0 draw at Tunstall Road on Monday by Racing Club Warwick.

Vics' boss Terry Greer made several changes for the visit of Westfields, and Bourne had the first chance of the match, firing wide on 15 minutes.

Westfields went close four minutes later when Davenport was handily placed to head off the line.

The game settled into a midfield tussle, although the Vics created two further chances before the interval.

Bourne crossed for Marrow to power a header just over the bar four minutes before half-time, and two minutes later an effort from Burge flew over.

The Vics scored the winner four minutes into the second half from the penalty spot.

Marrow was felled in the box by Hopkins, who was sent off, and Callear converted the spot kick.

Tempers flared after a tackle on Callan, and as several players squared up to each other Bourne appeared to be headbutted.

He retaliated, and was sent off, and Jackson for Westfields was dismissed for the tackle on Callan.

The Westfields keeper kept out a 30-yard drive from Burge, and Vics' keeper Goodwin denied Beale with 10 minutes to go.

The Vics had to wait until the half hour for their first chance on Monday, Marrow heading wide.

With seconds of the half to go Vics' keeper Intihar pulled off a stunning save to deny Gordon.

Ford fired over for the Vics early in the second half, and shot over again a few minutes later.

The Vics are without a game tomorrow, and they travel to league leaders Rocester next Tuesday.
