VOLUNTEERS and community groups in Golborne and Lowton will get a pat on the back at a special thank you celebration on April 27.
The event to celebrate their dedicated work for the community, dubbed The Big Thank You and which is being held at Lowton Civic Hall, will start at 6pm.
Andrew Sharrock, township co-ordinator, said: "It's a chance for volunteers, community and voluntary organisations and funders to get together and celebrate what they have achieved in their local communities.
"Some groups will be demonstrating first hand the work they do and sources of support and funding will be available.
"It's also an opportunity for all of us to get to know what community and voluntary activity is going on in the Lowton and Golborne areas."
Light refreshments will be served and admission is free.
