IT is when you work a million hours for pennies that you start to feel used by the company that you're working for.

As students, we are not paid for attending school; instead we earn an education.

As young adults, we enter the world in the hope of a job that allows us to be paid, but our efforts are not rewarded to the same extent, just because we are younger.

To be honest I cannot understand why, although I can comprehend the injustice.

We may not work as many hours, but we are doing exactly the same work as adults who may be in the same position as ourselves.

Instead the minimum wage insults our intelligence and makes us begrudge the work ethic that we are meant to uphold.

Workers of the nation would welcome a rise in the minimum wage and it is about time because, to be frank, three pounds just does not seem to be enough.
