BUDDING poets at St Peter's Primary School in Woolston got into the spirit of things last week when they held a poetry recital evening.
Parents, carers and grandparents were invited to watch as each group of reception class children recited poems they had been sponsored to learn. And mums were especially touched by the event when the tots recited a special surprise poem dedicated to them.
The recital was the last in a series of events to raise money for the Good Shepherd Foundation.
