A PREGNANT mum from Bewsey got more than she bargained for when a trip to the toilet ended with her giving birth to her fourth child.

Stacey Monks, aged 24, of Molyneux Avenue, gave birth to a baby girl at 12.05am on Wednesday - five days later than planned.

The young mum had been to the hospital three days earlier and doctors told her that her baby was not ready be born.

But to her amazement when she went to the toilet last week her waters broke and little Pyper-Jai, weighing in at eight pounds, 12 ounces, was in no mood to mess about.

Husband Andrew, aged 27, said: "Stacey told me that her waters had broken so I told her I would call an ambulance. By the time I dialled the number she had had it!"

Stacey added: "It was very quick. I was very surprised because I was supposed to go in to be induced on April 19."

She said that compared to her other three pregnancies this one was not quite as painful but she was shocked at the speed of the labour.

"People cannot believe I've just had a baby, they keep saying I look fresh," said Stacey.

The paramedics arrived 20 minutes after Stacey had delivered the baby by herself in the bathroom.

Mother and daughter were taken to spend the night at Warrington Hospital and were released the next day.

The parents are both chuffed to have another daughter to add to their growing family that includes daughter Origan, aged five, son Kier, aged three, and daughter Alisha, aged one.

In fact they want more babies to add to their clan.

Stacey said: "I want six kids. We have both got big families and I think it's nice if your children can grow up with lots of brothers and sisters."
