FOR charity-minded folk who really enjoy a slap-up Sunday lunch complete with top-class entertainment, how's this for an invitation? Five courses will be served up in a marquee on the pitch of the Liverpool St Helens RU Club, Moss Lane, on Sunday, May 2,
with a noon start.
The event will benefit a most worthy cause, Willowbrook Hospice, and will be something of a 'day turned into night' occasion with the special entertainment (of the sort normally reserved for evening dinners) provided by top Yorkshire comic Mick Kelly with Ray French, radio and television rugby league commentator, as master of ceremonies.
LIMITED
For such a special event, which is for the ladies as well as the gents, tickets are most reasonably priced at £20 and are available from Barry Hyland on St Helens 454441. He will be able to provide any further information and would be pleased to arrange a limited number of sponsors' tables.
Business and individual sponsors will be announced by the MC at the sports day lunch and their names will appear in the celebration programme.
