A MINUTE'S silence was observed by unions in 100 countries last week in memory of people who have died at work.
The General and Municipal Boilermakers (GMB) union in Runcorn joined forces with colleagues throughout the world to commemorate Workers' Memorial Day on Wednesday, April 28.
Staff at the union office in York Place stopped work at 11am.
"This is a day when we remember all those killed at work," said GMB regional secretary, Paul McCarthy.
