ROBBERS used a stolen car to ram raid a bank in Frodsham on Saturday.

The incident happened at Barclays Bank, Main Street at 4.57pm when the bank was closed but five members of staff were inside preparing for ATM transactions.

A car reversed through the plate glass window of the bank and one man stayed in the car while two men wearing dark clothes and balaclavas got out.

One man grabbed a female member of staff who was loading the ATM machine.

The other man opened the machine and removed a substantial amount of cash.

Both men got back in the car and drove off.

The car was a stolen blue Toyota Corolla, which had false registration plates.

The first suspect is described as white, about 30, 5ft 10ins, stocky build, wearing a shiny black jacket and dark track suit bottoms.

The second man is described as white, 6ft, stocky build, wearing a similar style jacket.

The driver of the Corolla is described as a white man, 6ft, of stocky build.
