WINSFORD United celebrated a season in which they have reversed a downward spiral with their annual player of the year awards last week.

Mark Quinn was the star of the show, collecting the manager's player of the year award and the supporters' player of the year crown.

Dave Chambers has obviously earned the respect of the rest of the team being named players' player of the year while Stuart Wellstead collected the goal of the season award.

But manager Dave Twite believes that all his players have been stars this year.

He said: "When you look at what we set out to achieve this year, which was to re-establish the football name of Winsford United, I think we have done that.

"And that has been achieved by the players who have put in a lot of hard work and shown masses of commitment and team spirit.

"I'm really pleased with all the lads."
