GOLBORNE Cricket Club's enthusiastic under 11s team are still looking for their first win.
They lost to Standish this week before crashing out of their cup competition to a strong Walshaw side.
Both matches were played in a junior format whereby teams are given a 200-run start.
They lose runs every time a wicket is taken and they bat in pairs with each pair playing for four overs.
Golborne's best batsmen in their 68-run defeat to Standish were M Heaton, eight runs and J Waterworth, 10.
Their most impressive bowlers were J Ashmead and A Farrimond, who took two wickets and one wicket for 16 runs respectively.
The pick of Golborne's batsmen in their 65-run defeat to Walshaw were Heaton, 10, J. Waterworth, nine and A. Farrar, eight.
Their wicket takers were M. Heaton, who took 1-3, and K. Barrow, who finished with figures of 1-17.
