WE are writing to agree with what a lot of people are saying. Please keep Great Sankey Post Office where it is.

We totally agree with what Margaret Orme of Great Sankey said in Points of View (May 20).

The four Ps - public house, parish church, police station and post office are local landmarks, plus the only one in the United Kingdom, not just in Cheshire according to a local councillor who also thinks that the post office should not move.

It is OK to say that if it goes to the Spar at Penketh, there are 50 free car parking spaces, but that is not even enough car parking spaces for the shops currently on there.

There are two banks, two estate agents and numerous other shops, and if anything it needs more car parking spaces also for the disabled, so please do not put the post office there. If you do there will be a huge traffic problem in the area and we feel sorry for the people that live across the road.

From what we hear old people do not get a big pension as it is and they will use a lot of it to get back and to from the post office using public transport. At the moment it is a walk out for some people and a place where they can chat with their friends on the route from their house to the post office.
