WE feel as a group aggrieved that the police should find it necessary to write to parents about anti-social behaviour when the offending behaviour is to play football on a playing field with football posts. (behind Tetley Walker's Club).
In our opinion it is far better for them to partake in this sporting activity that keeps them occupied and healthy, surely reducing crime and obesity.
This type of unwarranted action by the police can only fuel bad feelings between the teenagers and the constabulary.
Where can the youths play?
We applaud the mature attitude of the youths who chose to play in a large field instead of hanging around shops, street corners, or trespassing.
It appears that they cannot do right for doing wrong.
What do you think?
