AS the Warrington Guardian hits the shelves this week, I will just have finished my AS level examinations.
But what exactly are these new wave exams?
Many students feel they serve as 'memory tests', while some students who were sitting six hours of examinations in one day felt it was simply a case of cramming in all they know for the big day - not a careful application of their knowledge.
Education ministers are in a difficult position when considering how worthwhile the AS experiment has been, but I, for one, support the idea. But I wonder if the true potential of young people can ever be realised in such intense examination conditions.
