Widnes Vikings u21s 34
Warrington Wolves u21s 12
THE young Wolves boosted by Jerome Guisset's selection should have been full of optimism for their trip to the Halton Stadium having beaten the Vikings earlier in the season.
But Wolves are playing with no confidence and very little team cohesion at the moment so it was no surprise when Widnes came out on top.
Wolves made a bright start to the Senior Academy Championship clash and they were rewarded when a smart pass from Gary Hulse put Scott Brown through a gap on 10 minutes.
Nick Owen converted and he was also on target with the boot when Jamie Durbin touched down in the second half.
But Widnes were by far the better side and tries by Frame, two, Hughes, Draper, Matthews, Hodson and Flanagan condemned Wolves to yet another dismal defeat.
Team: Owen; Ashton, Brown, Roberts, Wilkinson; Durbin, Hulse; Guisset, Crabtree, J Pickersgill, S Pickersgill, Baines, Fullerton. Subs: Elston, Owens, Fletcher, Clarke.
