BRIDGE Foot ABC staged a spectacular boxing dinner at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on behalf of the Mark Hilton Testimonial Fund.

Eight of the 12 contests displayed Bridge Foot's own boxers.

The fight of the night featured Bridge Foot's undefeated Paul Mullen in his third contest in four weeks.

The 16-year-old fought Natbridge ABCs C Broughton, who was a strong and aggressive opponent going forward for most of the contest.

Mullen put his combination of shots together in the first round, forcing Broughton to a standing count. In the next round Mullen threw precise left jabs and went on to win on points.

Senior Bridge Foot boxers Danny Potter and Chris Houghton were defeated. Potter lost on points and 33-year-old super heavyweight Houghton was caught by M Griffiths' right hook causing him to retire in the second round with a perforated ear.

Schoolboy contests took place and wins were recorded by Bridge Foot's Liam Baldwin and Adam Gorman. Junior fighters Lee Ward and Mark Wilson gained the judges' decisions but Jamie Lee lost.
