HALF centuries by Andy Wright and Phil Whelan paved the way for Lymm Cricket Club's winning draw at Alvanley.
Andy's twin brother Karl also made a crucial contribution with his excellent swing bowling. He took six weeks for only 44 runs to end Alvanley's hopes of topping Lymm's total of 154 runs for eight wickets.
But Alvanley's last pair showed stubborn resistance and they batted out the final few overs.
