STRETTON bounced on course in their double championship ambitions with solid performances in the Cheshire Building Society Cricket Alliance.
The first team got off to a disastrous start at Langley and turned it round to gain a draw.
Stretton were held at four runs for two wickets until Ian Hill, with 67, and Ben Clissold, with 86, hauled them out of the mire in developing a total of 225.
Good bowling from Paul Marsh, with two wickets for 26 runs, and Steve Critchley, with 2-21, ensured that the match was drawn.
The second team cruised to victory in league and cup games.
In the league, Andy Bartlett was the pick of the bowlers with 3-15 as Langley were dismissed for 104.
Despite a controversial lbw decision against skipper Tim Mullins, the runs were knocked off for only two wickets.
Stretton met Kinglsey in the Cheshire Alliance Cup on Sunday.
Kingsley posted a decent total of 140 off their 40 overs. Stretton's main bowlers were Dave Cotton, with 3-39 and Daran Weissenborn, 2-15.
The total was achieved, for the loss of six wickets, in the 25th over. Top scorers were Andy Delaney, with 51, Steve Critchley, 36 and Kev Saunders, 22.
