AFTER praising the work of Risley police's Community Action Team, Warrington North MP Helen Jones got first hand experience of the day to day work of the team.
She accompanied members of the police Community Action Team and community support officers (PCSO) on their beat.
On a visit to Risley police station, the MP spoke to officers before spending the morning with them on the streets in Oakwood. Mrs Jones recently called for more PCSOs in a debate in the House of Commons.
She said: "Crime, the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour are real concerns to people.
"Over the past few years the CAT initiative in Warrington has proved very successful in tackling some of the problems we face in our local communities and they are now ably assisted by community support officers."
