POLICE are appealing for information after a handbag was stolen from a woman as she walked near to Locking Stumps Primary School.
The incident happened last Friday at around 11.20am as the victim walked along the footpath at the rear of Glover Road.
A man snatched the bag from the victim's shoulder and fled in the direction of Copperfield Close.
The bag contained cash and other items.
The offender is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, of medium build and with short dark, scruffy hair.
He was wearing a pale green, three-quarter length jacket and blue jeans.
