Mrs Rosemary Adamek (nee Mullaney), wife of the late Maksymilian Adamek, died of a stroke on April 13. She was 79.
Mrs Adamek, of Poplars Avenue, Orford, was born in Milner Street and had lived in Orford for 31 years. Forty years ago she was employed at Marks & Spencer, then Warrington Market, and followed this by caring for elderly people in her own home to give respite care for families.
She leaves three sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, many of whom live in the USA.
A service was held on April 19 at St Mary's RC Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev Father Felix officiated.
Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeral Services.
