IAN Lawless' first 50 of the season was the highlight of an all out total of 167 against Hightown at Windleshaw Road.

Injuries and exams robbed Saints of a full team and they were not a match for the league leaders.

Potter (26), Pandey (23) and Lowe (16) all perished forcing the pace while Ian Greener entertained the spectators with 16 showing little respect for West Indian Evan McInnis.

Saints did well to last 46 overs but wickets were hard to come by. Only Sanjay Pandey (2-67) had any success.

Chris Metcalf bowled an economical 6 over spell for 11 runs.

The end came in the seventh over of the last 20 when Hightown reached 170 for 3.

A weakened second team took on Highfield away and were dismissed for 90. Paul Booth (26) and Chris Carlisle (21) were the main scorers.

Highfield reached the winning total for 3 wickets, S Anders, P Booth and L Booth took one wicket each.

The third team travelled to Colwyn Bay with only 9 men and faced a formidable total of 229 for 9.

In a magnificent reply Saints batsmen were in fine form on a good wicket and came home with the spoils.

Robbie Supria 83 not out, Paul Booth 54 and Luke Booth 46 were the main scorers.

Next weekend Saints first team visit Formby while the seconds entertain Hightown at Windleshaw Road.
