TWO women have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Agnes Hanrahan.
Denise Davies, aged 53 and of Houghton Street, and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named, both pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to a further charge of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
A third defendant, Matthew Lawson, 19, of Somerset Way in Woolton, Warrington, also pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice.
Davies and the 17-year-old were remanded in custody, Lawson was released on conditional bail.
All three appeared before Chester Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday). A trial date has been set for the new year.
Agnes Hanrahan, 71, was found dead at her home in Baguley Avenue, Hale Bank, Widnes, in December last year.
