He said: "I'm pleased for everyone connected with the club and the way we went about getting the first win was pleasing.

"To be honest we've been playing reasonably well for a few weeks now without getting the breaks we deserve.

"The big difference was that when the chances came our way, we stuck the ball in the net and it was pleasing to keep another clean sheet too."

Burr pointed to the contribution of Andy Ralph and Kieran Charnock at the back as the basis for Vics' win.

He added: "Andy and Kieran did really well for us and it capped a fine week for them both as they have been selected for the England semi-professional side."

But what really stood out for Burr, aside from the quality of the four goals, was the late second half strike from Mark Quayle.

Burr added: "Mark will score goals.

"By his own admission he's not been getting among the goals, but hopefully this was just what he needed."

And Burr will be hoping the goals continue to flow on Saturday at Forest Green Rovers.

He added: "We've got a long way to go and we shouldn't get carried away because of the situation we're in.

"But the situation we're in is not down to the team, it has been brought on us because of different ruling bodies.

"We've just get to get over that and keep trying to get back on track.

"I'm confident that we can claw back the points and get that fourth from bottom spot.

"But now we're concentrating on beating Forest Green and going past them.

"Then we'll get in touching distance of Tamworth and Farnborough and I'm sure by then there will be other teams dragged down into the fight.

"But really I don't care about the other teams, if we get things right then we'll be okay."
