PARENTS of schoolchildren are being given the chance to brush up on their three Rs thanks to a new initiative from Cheshire County Council Family Learning.
Two Northwich schools, Leftwich Community Primary School and Lostock Gralam CE School, as well as two Winsford schools, Winsford High Street Community School and Handley Hill Primary School, are taking part in Family Learning Week.
Pupils will be bringing their parents into the classroom this week in a bid to promote the importance of learning.
The event has been organised by the Campaign for Learning to raise awareness of the important role played by families in supporting learning.
Tricia Hartley, regional director of the Campaign for Learning, said: "We want to encourage families to make learning part of everyday life and show them it can be fun to learn things together."
